Saluto tutti o quasi… Qualcuno per favore mi contatti al più presto, ho estremo bisogno di lavorare e scelgo anch’io la Norvegia, per ovvie e concrete ragioni. Sono disposto a partire immediatamente e vivere lì lavorando da 24 mesi a oltre, preferibilmente nel mercato ittico (mi hanno accennato qualcosa). Mi occorrebbero proprio quei 2000 euro mensili e oltre incluso vitto e alloggio. Le difficili condizioni climatiche sia pure l’adattarsi ad un sociale e ambiente lavorativo proprio diverso da quello tricolore… non mi spaventa minimamente. Qualcuno mi dia un contatto diretto. Vi ringrazio molto.
Ottima scelta Alessandro R. condivido!!

I would consider myself a GNU/Linux savvy, and I can manage to get the GMA500 up and running. Unfortunately, there is no driver out there that enables any sort of hardware acceleration, and this is clearly unacceptable…

It is true that if you have some savy with linux you can get things running, but why do we need to go through so much work. Intel really ticked me off with this move. I cannot fathom why they did this to us.

Hello Alessandro,

I just bought this Iomega Ultramax Plus. I plugged it to my linux Fedora 13 and Fedora 10 boxes but there are no signs of being recognised. The drive turns on and spins, but linux does not see it.

I tried USB and eSATA cables.

I suspect that the problem is that the drive comes formatted in HFS (for Macs). Did you remove the HFS formats?

Can you tell me how you managed to make it work?
